Alberto Contador, new Festibike ambassador: “It’s an honour for me”

Former cyclist Alberto Contador has become the new ambassador of Festibike. The rider from Pínto sees it necessary and very interesting that there should be a big Bicycle Fair in Spain and defends the format of Festibike, which will be held in Las Rozas (Madrid) between 8 and 10 September.

As an amateur, Alberto Contador visited the first editions of Festibike, during his professional years he attended when the calendar allowed him to and in 2008 he even collaborated with the fair’s Marcha Cicloturista.

The winner of seven grand tours has been present at Festibike in recent editions and at the end of the 2022 edition he showed his support and closeness to the fair.

“Festibike has had a great evolution and growth in recent years, it is a fair and an event that we need in the bicycle sector. I am delighted and honoured to be able to support and collaborate with Festibike and my friend and director of the fair, Guillermo de Portugal”, he explains.

During 2023, the cyclist from Pinto will be present at various Festibike events and will carry out actions to strengthen the promotion of the fair and its activities.
