Arturo Soria School collects twenty bicycles to be sent to Uganda by Bicis para la Vida by ŠKODA

On a rainy Monday 12 December, Arturo Soria School in Madrid handed over twenty bicycles that it has collected over the last month from its teaching community, students, teachers, employees and families, to donate them to the Bicis para la Vida by ŠKODA.

The school wanted to collaborate in this way with the Escuelas Sostenibles campaign of the ‘Saluganda on Wheels’ project, an initiative launched by NerGroup with the support of the Seur Foundation and the Alberto Contador Foundation, which works to collect and send bicycles to Uganda to be used by teachers working in rural areas in the east of the country.

Nergroup has been supporting Saluganda’s projects in the African country for eleven years, a collaboration that has undergone various stages of development and which has enabled some 3,000 children from rural communities east of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, to be enrolled in one of the nine schools that have been set up during this time in the districts of Mukono and Buikwe.
