“For us it is a great satisfaction”, adds Alberto Contador. “We are very happy to have received this invitation. For the team it is also a relief, because our season is based, above all, on the Giro d’Italia. We are a new, young, fresh team… we already took part in the Giro last year and I think we did very, very well. I think that this year we can improve on last year’s performance and be great protagonists. On a personal level, it’s a race that I carry in my heart and the fact that I can experience it with my own team is something special”.
The next edition of the Giro d’Italia will be held between 6 and 29 May and features a route of more than 3,400 kilometres. The Corsa Rosa, that in this occasion will finish in Verona, presents an added attraction for the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team of the hand of the ‘Grande Partenza’.
