EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team receives an invitation to take part in Milano-Sanremo, Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico

Great news for the professional structure of the Fundación Alberto Contador. The EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team will compete in three of the big races of the international calendar, all three in Italian soil, after having received formally this Thursday, February 17, an invitation on the part of his organization, RCS Sport.

The first of these invitations comes from the Strade Bianche, a race that will be held on March 5 and that is characterized by the presence of unpaved roads, the so-called ‘white roads’ that give it its name and that are so typical of Tuscany. The EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team is one of the three invited teams and will compete for the second time here.

The second comes with the Tirreno-Adriatico, a stage race that in 2022 will be held between March 7 and 13. The EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team already took part in this stage race, known as ‘The Race of the Two Seas’ last year.

The third and last invitation, the great novelty, comes with the Milano-Sanremo, one of the five monuments of cycling (which complete the Tour of Flanders, the Paris-Roubaix, the Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Giro de Lombardia). A long competition, 300 kilometres in line between Milan and Sanremo, this race is one of the most eagerly awaited events on the international calendar.

In this case, the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team has received one of the four invitations with which the organization works. The Milano-Sanremo will be the second Monument in which the team will participate after its ‘debut’ in the Giro di Lombardia in 2021.
