New year, new life, as they say. And in cycling terms, new clothes. Every January 1st is the beginning of a ritual of presentations and discoveries as far as changing rooms are concerned, especially from the point of view of the riders who join a new project and who cannot officially wear their new colours until the beginning of the new year.

The sports structures supported by the Contador Foundation have already known since the start of 2022 what their new competitive skins will be like. New kits with the signature and design of the young Spanish brand Gobik Sport Wear.

The prestigious firm based in the Murcian town of Yecla has been collaborating intensively with the professional, U23 and U19 sports teams of the Alberto Contador Foundation since the 2019 season. A cooperation that has allowed the development of products such as its range of ‘Invincible’ jerseys and its ‘Absolute’ bib shorts from its testing in high competition.

Gobik is also responsible for dressing the members of the Plaza Éboli Cycling Academy, supports the AURUM bikes brand from a textile point of view and makes the commemorative kits for the Gran Fondo Alberto Contador which is held every September at Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort. Not forgetting that Alberto Contador is also its Global Ambassador.

Gobik is experiencing great growth worldwide, with a firm commitment to the customization of designs from fabrics of the highest quality. It was created a decade ago by Alberto García and José Ramón Ortín and since its birth it has not stopped supplying and progressing, supporting sports projects of the highest category and also top level competitions (Volta a Catalunya, Euskal Herriko Itzulia-Vuelta al País Vasco, Vuelta a Burgos or Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, among others).
