II Ananta Foundation — Alberto Contador Foundation Solidarity Awards

Introduction:

Ananta Foundation and Alberto Contador Foundation announce the “II Solidarity Awards Ananta Foundation-Alberto Contador Foundation” aimed at Associations or Foundations that in the exercise of their activities and projects have limited resources.

The purpose of these awards is to help financially by awarding three specific allocations to three national and three international cooperation programmes, with a total amount of €36,000.

In both cases, the Foundations or Associations that opt for these awards must prove their registered office in Spain, and those with international programmes must also have signed the corresponding collaboration protocols with a local counterpart/NGO.

The II Solidarity Awards will be presented on Friday 23 October 2015 at a solidarity dinner to be held in Pinto.

The total prize money of the awards is €36,000, broken down as follows:

1st National and International Prize, endowment of €9,000 each.
2nd National and International Prize, endowment of €6,000 each.
3rd National and International Prize, endowment of €3,000 each.Companies wishing to take charge of any of these prizes, financing them in whole or in part, may join this initiative as collaborators.

For the evaluation of the prizes Ananta Foundation and Alberto Contador Foundation will invite a jury of no less than 8 people, which will decide the awarding of the prizes according to compliance with the required bases.

Deadlines:

The deadlines are as follows:

10 March 2015: publication of these rules on the websites of the Ananta Foundation and Alberto Contador Foundation, and dissemination of the same.
15 March to 31 May 2015: receipt of applications at the following two addresses: psolidarios@fundacioncontador.com and info@fundacionananta.org.
30 June 2015: awards decision.
23 October 2015: prize-giving ceremony.Rules:

a) The awards are aimed at Foundations/Associations based in Spain that meet the following three basic requirements: (1) in 2014 they had an income of less than €100,000; (2) they have been constituted as Foundations or Associations for at least three full fiscal years with the same corporate purpose as the one submitted for these awards; (3) they already have a programme underway, i.e. the project submitted for the awards is not the first action to be implemented by the Foundation or Association.

b) From among all the projects/programmes presented, the jury will award 6 humanitarian projects: 3 in the national category and 3 in the international category.

c) The beneficiaries of the international category humanitarian projects/programmes will be people living outside Spain. Those in the national category will have as beneficiaries people living in Spain, whatever their nationality.

d) The project/programme must be summarised in a maximum of 6 pages and must be sent to the following two e-mail addresses: psolidarios@fundacioncontador.com and info@fundacionananta.org.

e) The proposal must include the following points:

  1. Category for which the project/programme is applying (national or international).
  1. Name, identification and objectives of the Foundation/Association; e-mail and contact telephone number of the person submitting the proposal; list of the persons forming the Board of Trustees and/or the Board of Directors.
  2. Brief description of the programmes carried out by the Foundation/Association. 4. Title and explanation of the project/programme.
  3. Duration and location where the project/programme is carried out.
  4. Number of volunteers and material means required.
  5. Total cost and budget of the project/programme.
  6. Beneficiaries of the project/programme and sustainability for its future continuation.
  7. Financial statement of the Foundation/Association for the last year (Annual Report and official CCAA 2014 signed by the Board of Trustees or by the Board of Directors).
  8. Supporting documents: link to the website, Annual Report 2014, and audit report if any.

f) Winning projects will have to justify the prize within one year of being awarded.

g) Foundations or Associations that have been beneficiaries of any of the six prizes awarded in the I Premios Solidarios Fundación Ananta Fundación Alberto Contador (2014) are not eligible to enter this competition.
