The first Fundación Contador Solidarity Awards have been announced

Yesterday, Saturday, the 1st Ananta Foundation Alberto Contador Foundation Solidarity Awards were announced.

We are happy to share the names of the six winners:

National category.

1- First prize (endowed with €9,000): Asociación Darse (Valdemoro, Madrid): Proyecto Puerta a la Libertad, for the support, re-education and social reintegration of prisoners and ex-prisoners.

2- Second prize (€6,000): Asociación Primera Prevención (Madrid): Timón Project, to support 25 families in especially difficult situations in the Puente de Vallecas district of Madrid.

3- Third prize (€3,000): Hogar Betania (La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz): Support for social canteen for people at risk of exclusion and shelter for homeless people.

International category.

1- First prize (endowed with €9,000): Asociación Adentra (Aramendia, Navarra): Project for the creation of rural vegetable gardens to guarantee food autonomy and training in the use of sea water in these gardens in the community of Sandiara (Senegal).

2- Second prize (€6,000): Asociación Hogar de las Niñas (Barcelona): Project to extend the “Ma Sarada Shishu Tirtha” residential school in Harispur, Krishnagar, West Bengal (India).

3- Third prize (€3,000): Kelele Africa Association (Torrelodones, Madrid): Project for the construction of an eco-school in Kimya (Uganda).
