The Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza claims its rightful place as the stage for #CyclingForAll with the help of Idemticos
The twenty-first edition of the Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza, which returns to the roads of the island of Ibiza between 5 and 6 October, will reinforce its more inclusive character thanks to the Idemticos project promoted by the Contador Foundation in its commitment to cycling sport.
The Idemticos initiative was launched in September 2020 with the firm objective of promoting the practice of cycling among people who have some kind of functional diversity, regardless of whether it is physical or mental; in parallel, in a more pedagogical aspect, Idemticos has increased its presence in primary schools to raise awareness and sensitise the school community about the reality of diversity and inclusion.
For the development of its more sporting programme, Idemticos has its own fleet of adapted bicycles, handbikes, tricycles and tandems, which it makes available to all those interested in getting to know its particularities within the timetable of the development of the activities of the Plaza Éboli Cycling Academy.
Although it does not support a sporting structure as such, the Idemticos project assumes the vital importance of competition as a loudspeaker to amplify the knowledge of its activities and therefore has a body of ambassadors who publicise the project through their different and recurring sporting experiences: Eva Moral, Carlos Javier Mozos, Christian Silva, Raúl Vallinot, José Manuel Dosdad, Rubén Nova, Gonzalo García Alejandro Montero and Léster Fernández. Some of them will participate in this edition of the Vuelta a Ibiza.
