Bicis para la Vida travels to A Coruña to support Aseduc’s ‘Empoder Bici’ project with a donation

The Bicis para la Vida by Škoda van travelled to Galicia this Saturday to deliver twenty bicycles to the facilities of the Socio-educational Association for Education (Aseduc) in A Coruña. In addition to the bicycles, on this occasion they also left different components to provide content for their workshop.

The aim of this donation is to strengthen its Empoder Bici project, one of its socio-educational initiatives that promotes the use of bicycles as a means of sustainable transport through mechanical workshops for women at risk of social exclusion.

For this reason, most of the saddles delivered on this occasion are not adjusted or ready for use, quite the opposite: they require a tune-up and recovery work that will be carried out by those attending the workshops at its headquarters in Oleiros to subsequently use them for their journeys.

Aseduc was officially established in July 2006 and in May 2019 it was granted the status of public utility entity. Its geographical field of action is mainly located in Galicia, although it has also developed some of its programmes in the Principality of Asturias.
