Moments from an unforgettable debut at Milano-Sanremo, the first of cycling’s five Monuments each season
The Milano-Sanremo is one of the five big one-day races on the international calendar, one of the so-called Five Monuments of cycling. The Italian race, a regular event on the third Saturday in March, is known as ‘La Primavera’ and has the great peculiarity of its 300-kilometre route. Vincenzo Albanese finished eleventh at the finish of Sanremo in an edition that was solved in the descent of the Poggio di Sanremo in favour of the Slovenian Matej Mohoric and in which the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team, our professional project, debuted with great protagonism including two riders in the breakaway of the day: Samuele Rivi and Diego Pablo Sevilla. A great group performance of the team. An unforgettable day.
