Bicis para la Vida delivers 4 bicycles to Asociación Astor
Our “Bicis para la Vida’ programme has delivered four mountain bikes to the Astor Association, an organisation that has been working in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) since 1977 in favour of people with intellectual disabilities.
The Astor Association runs a cycling programme for people with disabilities that allows them, while practising their favourite sport, to acquire basic notions of how to use a bicycle and learn the essential rules of road safety education.
The campaign of collection, restoration and delivery of second-hand bicycles of ‘Bicis para la Vida’, which began in 2013, continues with a very positive balance thanks to the work of the members of the Association of Disabled People of Pinto and the volunteers who provide the necessary support.
‘Bicis para la Vida’ is a solidarity project promoted by Ananta Foundation, together with the Alberto Contador Foundation, Seur Foundation and the Pinto Association of Disabled People.
