An edition of the Valencia European Paracycling Cup with the stamp of three Idemticos ambassadors
The towns of Xátiva, on Saturday with the online races, and Valencia, on Sunday with the time trials on a circuit next to the Malvarrosa beach, hosted this weekend the second edition of the Valencia European Paracycling Cup which is confirmed as one of the most important events of adapted cycling in the world. Three of the ambassadors of the Idemticos project of the Contador Foundation were present in Valencia: Gonzalo García Abella, Alejandro Montero and Carlos Javier Mozos.
All three, great competitors, left the mark of their commitment and dedication with a triple presence on the podium. García Abella, who was competing with the national adapted cycling team, won the gold medal in the MT1 category after coming first on both days. Mozos, in MC1, and always competing with a conventional bike, climbed to the third step of the podium, a brilliant bronze supported by his third positions in both the time trial and the road. Montero, in the MC3 category, finished second overall after finishing second on Saturday in the road race and third on Sunday in the time trial.
