Bicis para la Vida by Škoda collects nine donations at the Vuelta stage start from Logroño

The Bicis para la Vida by Škoda project of the Contador Foundation attended for the second year one of the stage starts of La Vuelta. The city of Logroño took up the baton of the Ribadesella experience on Friday, with great interest in the details of the project from the public and with great support from the city council of Logroño, with its mayor, Conrado Escobar, and the councillor for Family, Social Services and Disability, Patricia Sainz, at the forefront.

From early in the morning, and with the presence of Alberto Contador himself to act as ambassador of his Foundation and of this initiative supported by the Czech automobile company, the Bicis para la Vida van was available to the public who came to the Fan Zone until the start of the nineteenth stage of this edition.

In the end, the public handed over nine bicycles. One, especially emotional: a children’s bike, without wheels, that its current owner wanted to hand over to the imminent arrival of a new bike more in line with his growth. He said goodbye to it with a last ride in front of the van and handed it over so that other children could enjoy it.
