This day a new edition of the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana will be held between Valencia and the Alicante town of La Nucía, over a route of 190 kilometres, a 1.1 race in which in 2022 the first victory of the season was won by the Italian Giovanni Lonardi.
On the same day, but in other latitudes, the Vuelta a San Juan will start. The Argentinean race, which returns to the calendar after a couple of years without being held due to the pandemic situation, will be held over seven stages and will also include a rest day.
For the professional structure of the Contador Foundation, the Vuelta a San Juan will be a small milestone, since it will be the first competition of the team outside Europe and its premiere, therefore, in South American territory.
