Fundación Contador joins the European Mobility Week in Pinto with Bicis Para la Vida and Idemticos

The European Mobility Week is an initiative promoted by the European Union since 2002 through which it works to raise awareness and promote a paradigm shift in the concept of transport for citizens, especially in their most common environment.

A more sustainable and ecological transport, more collective if necessary, more physically active and therefore healthier, which will reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere and the use of private combustion means of transport. The slogan of this year’s #EuropeMobilityWeek was focused on sustainability and the implementation of alternatives to private transport: ‘Combine and move!

In the context of the 2024 edition, which lasted from 16 to 22 September, the Pinto City Council joined with an interesting proposal of initiatives that appealed to all its citizens, starting with the school community. This Sunday 22nd, an intense day took place in Pintor Antonio López avenue in which both the Contador Foundation and the AMP Association brought the work of two projects, Bicis para la Vida and Idemticos, closer to the citizens of Pinto.

All those interested could learn how to give a second life to bikes that, for different circumstances, are no longer in use; and also experience in first person the reality of mobility through adapted bikes. Fran Pérez, deputy mayor of Pinto and José Luis Escandell, president of AMP, were two of the many people interested in the evolutions of the exhibition.
