The second edition of the Contador Foundation’s Selection Campus will be held in Zaragoza

The Italian restaurant chain ‘La Mafia se sienta a la mesa’ will be the official sponsor of the second Alberto Contador Foundation Selection Camp, from which last year eight riders were chosen to join the Flex-junior team this season.

Since the franchise has its headquarters in Zaragoza, this city will host the campus, which will take place from the 3rd to the 5th of next October, in the facilities of the Hotel Zenit Don Yo in the Aragonese capital.
From the publication of this call until 15 September, registrations for the Campus 2014 can be made on the Alberto Contador Foundation website, which in its first edition, in 2013, more than a hundred riders signed up.

Among the members of this first list, the final selection of the approximately forty participants of the training camp in Zaragoza will be made, for which not only the sporting record will be taken into account, but also other factors, such as school grades and the available reports on the career of each cyclist.

The Flex-Fundación Alberto Contador team, in which eight riders from the 2013 Selection Campus are riding this year, will once again host the selected riders next October, as its second-year riders will mostly make the leap to the Specialized-Sub 23 team, where they will be able to continue their sporting career within the Alberto Contador Foundation academy.

‘La Mafia se sienta a la mesa’ is a restaurant franchise that offers Italian-Mediterranean cuisine characterised by the quality of its raw materials. This Aragonese franchise was founded in the year 2000 and currently has almost 40 units operating on the peninsula. It has been recognised this year with the ‘Casual Restaurant 2014’ award at the Hot Concepts awards.
