Lorenzo Fortunato signs the first win of the season for EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team in the queen stage of the Vuelta a Asturias

The Principality of Asturias is a territory where the professional structure of the Contador Foundation has always had good performances and the Vueltina, in fact, has been close to victory on several occasions and in 2022 the protagonist of the day finished second overall. This last Saturday in April, Lorenzo Fortunato made history by winning the second stage and moving up to the lead of the race.

It was a very demanding mountain stage, with a first pass on one of the slopes of the Santuario del Acebo and a second climb to this very tough mountain pass. Fernando Tercero, in his first year as a professional, rounded off a great day with his tenth place and his first position in the general classification of the neo-professionals.
