Pinto City Council recognizes the work of various local institutions in the International Volunteer Day
The Alberto Contador Foundation, represented for the occasion by its head of the social area Henar García, was one of the institutions and entities of the town of Pinto that were invited to the Plenary Hall of the Madrid City Council to receive recognition for their work. The Red Cross delegation for Pinto and Valdemoro, the AMP Association, the Spanish Association against Cancer in Pinto or the Pinto Diabetes Association, among others, were some of the participants.
‘Today we are here to recognise and strengthen this work that is not always visible, but is indispensable. Volunteer work represents the best of our society. Empathy, selfless dedication, a deep desire to help those who need it most, giving yourself to others without expecting anything in return. You are the key piece in so many projects and you leave an indelible mark. You are an example’, said Mayor Salomón Aguado during the meeting.
