Sensational performances by the Idemticos ambassadors at the 2020 Spanish Adapted Cycling Championships
The latest edition of the Spanish Adapted Cycling Championships, finally held this past weekend at the Cartagena speedway circuit (Región de Murcia) in order to manage the entire COVID-19 prevention protocol more effectively, once again produced brilliant results for all the ambassadors of the Contador Foundation’s Idemticos project.
Madrid’s Eva Moral and Gonzalo García Abella, in the WH4 and MT1 categories respectively, scored a brilliant double by winning on Saturday in the road races, which were held over 28.8 and 14.4 kilometres, and on Sunday in the time trials, which were held over 14 and 7.2 kilometres.
Carlos Javier Mozos, also from Madrid, continued his ascent in the MC1 category with bronze medals (over 47 and 14.5 km) in races where one of the great riders on the world cycling scene for people with functional diversity is competing: Ricardo Ten from Valencia. The Catalan from Granada, José Manuel Dosdad, finished fourth both in the road race and the time trial in the MC4 category (over 58 and 18 kilometres).
