Great success of the first ‘Talk on stroke prevention’ held at Pinto’s Red Cross headquarters
More than forty people of all age ranges gathered this Wednesday morning, June 19, to attend the ‘Talk on stroke prevention’ promoted by the Contador Foundation, the Red Cross delegation in Pinto and Valdemoro and the Caixabank Foundation. The first of a series of talks that will be held in the coming months in the same location.
The two-hour talk was given by José María López Santos, a Red Cross trainer, and covered many aspects of stroke, the importance of maintaining healthy habits and, in short, health.
“I thought it was a perfect initiative, especially for those of us who suffer the most from it, and it will help us to prevent it,” said one of the older attendees at the talk. “Most people don’t know that stroke is something that young children can also suffer from, it’s something that surprised us a lot,” said one of the young people who attended.
Trainer José María López: “The audience was fantastic, there was a wide range of ages and, above all, and most importantly, there was a great desire to learn. It was a very participative audience, very collaborative. We have resolved many doubts. I felt very comfortable giving this talk, it was a very enriching experience. I would like to thank you for having the opportunity to impart knowledge through an institution like the Contador Foundation”.
