EOLO-KOMETA receives invitations to Giro d’Italia, Strade Bianche, Tirreno-Adriatico and Milano-Sanremo
The EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team, the professional cycling project promoted by the Contador Foundation, is in luck. The structure received this Thursday an official invitation to compete in the next Giro d’Italia, as well as in three of the most important races of the WorldTour calendar: Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Sanremo and Strade Blanche.
The 2023 edition will be the team’s third consecutive Giro d’Italia. This edition, the 106th, takes place between 6 and 28 May and will connect Fossacesia to Rome in Italy after more than 3,400 kilometres. The Corsa Rosa will be the demanding finale to a cycle of Italian competitions at the highest level.
On March 4 the Strade Bianche will count for the third year with the participation of the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team. This young race, with only 16 editions, has made its place in the calendar with a route that includes unpaved gravel roads.
A few days later starts in Lido di Camaiore a new edition, the 58th, of the Tirreno-Adriatico, the race of the two seas, an exciting stage race that will take place until the 12th. It will also be the third participation for the ProTeam structure in this race.
It will be the second participation of EOLO-KOMETA in the Milano Sanremo, a race in which it debuted in 2022 with a lot of protagonism and the eleventh position (first Italian) of Vincenzo Albanese; the Milano-Sanremo is a very special race, not in vain is one of the five monuments of cycling. For the young history of the structure, this edition will be its fourth monument. Milano Sanremo 2023 will be held on 18 March.
