A walk through the past: Juan Pedro López’s career in the sports structures of the Fundación Contador

Juan Pedro López is one of the big names in cycling these days after taking the provisional lead of the Giro d’Italia 2022 in the fourth stage of this edition with a finish on Mount Etna. López, a native of Lebrija and current Trek-Segafredo rider, arrived at the WorldTour structure after a cycle through the junior, U23 and continental structures sponsored by the Contador Foundation. A cycle that began in the 2015 season, in his second year as a junior, after participating in the Selection Campus co-organised with La Mafia Restaurantes in Zaragoza. The Andalusian took part in two editions of this campus. Below is a brief review of all those years after his jump into WorldTour.
