Bicis para la Vida delivered bicycles to Los Alamos School
Last Friday, 12th December, Bicis para la Vida made a new donation of solidarity bicycles at the Colegio de Educación Especial Los Álamos, through the Madrid association ‘Sí Puedo’.
On this occasion, 14 bicycles of different sizes were delivered to this educational centre, which develops a sports promotion project through which young people with intellectual disabilities practice different sports disciplines, including cycling. With this donation, greater access to bicycles has been achieved for people who do not have their own bike and find it impossible to acquire one.
The collaboration of ‘Bicis para la Vida’, made up of the Alberto Contador Foundation, Ananta, Seur and the Pinto Association for the Disabled, has been joined on this occasion by the transport company ‘Rafael Bardera’, which has provided a van to transport the bicycles to their destination.ampinto1
During the delivery of the bikes, the mechanics in training of the ‘Bicis para la Vida’ workshop presented the work they do in Pinto, from the delivery and collection of used bikes, through their valuation and repair, to their delivery to the groups that request them, as well as exchanging experiences with the students of ‘Los Alamos’ School, who also receive training as bicycle mechanics.
