Bicis para la Vida delivers 20 bicycles to Piles, one of the centres receiving Ukrainian refugees in the Valencian Community
The Bicis para la Vida project promoted by the Fundación Alberto Contador in collaboration with the Czech automobile company ŠKODA, the courier company SEUR and the AMP of Pinto, among other entities, has travelled to the Valencian Community to deliver twenty bicycles to the Mar i Vent Youth Hostel in the Valencian town of Piles.
This public centre, which belongs to the Valencian Network of Youth Hostels managed by the Valencian Youth Institute (IVAJ), has become one of the receiving enclaves for Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in Spain fleeing the armed conflict resulting from the Russian invasion of their territory.
The Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR) is currently managing the facilities, with capacity for a hundred people, and with these bicycles will be able to carry out different activities with the children and young people who are already installed there.
