Cycling Exhibition in Oliva on the occasion of the VII Gran Fondo Alberto Contador
On the occasion of the seventh edition of the Gran Fondo Alberto Contador,
which this year will be held on April 30 in the Valencian town of Oliva, this Tuesday opened the exhibition titled “History on Wheels 2.0” in its Ethnological Museum, that presents and extensive collection of jerseys and other objects linked to the world of cycling.
The exhibition, which will be open to the public from today until the day of the Gran Fondo, is based on the private collection of David Martín, enriched with a sample of the most representative bikes in the career of Alberto Contador, as well as the jersey’s collection he has worn along his cycling life.
This year, the Gran Fondo Alberto Contador offers fans two routes, one of 197 km and 2,115 meters of positive gradient, and another shorter over 150 km and 1,480 meters of ascent, in addition to a Junior course for the little ones. The Oliva’s organization hopes to beat the record and to exceed the thousand participants.
