Fifteen bicycles for the sustainability project at the Ramón de Campoamor school in Gijón
The incoming visit of the Bicis para la Vida by Škoda project to the caravan of the La Vuelta, this Wednesday, on the occasion of the start of the seventeenth stage of this edition, from Ribadesella, has allowed to previously specify a donation of material to one of the sustainability projects that are being developed in the Principality of Asturias.
Specifically fifteen bicycles have been delivered by the logistics manager, Ángel López, to the project ‘El Campoamor se mueve, muévete tú también’, a very interesting educational programme that is being developed in the CEIP Ramón de Campoamor de Gijón to promote a healthier and more ecological mobility and an active lifestyle.
The Foundation’s expedition was welcomed by a large group of students and the school’s teaching staff, led by the headmistress Catalina González. Jorge Pañeda, Gijón City Councillor for Sports, was also present at the warm welcome.
In addition to the fifteen bicycles, Bicis para la Vida by Škoda provided the centre with a range of equipment such as helmets, water bottles and a pair of foot pumps to keep the tyres inflated. All this equipment will allow the ‘El Campoamor se mueve, muévete tú también’ project to continue its work with students with limited resources.
Before heading to Ribadella, councillor Jorge Pañeda wanted to support the Bicis para la Vida by Škoda project in person, as he was unable to do so on Wednesday due to his schedule commitments with his city, by making a first donation of a bicycle. Thank you very much from Bicis para la Vida by Škoda.
