Fundación Contador, with CEIP El Álamo Disability Day

A new visit of the Contador Foundation to the Infant and Primary School (CEIP) El Álamo in this town in Madrid. After the recent celebration of an ‘En Bici’ day, this last Friday of May 2024 the Pinto institution has returned to its classrooms to develop a day focused on adapted cycling in the context of the Disability Day promoted by this school.

Raúl Vallinot, ambassador of the Idemticos project and a great disseminator of cycling for all, and Raúl Martín, mechanic of AURUM Bikes who carries out volunteer work with the Foundation through its Plaza Éboli Cycling Academy, were in charge of guiding the evolution of a morning that had a theoretical and a practical part.

The practical session allowed to delve into both the types of cycling and the particularities of adapted cycling, from the different categories to the different bicycles; the more experimental part delighted the students, as they were able to experience first-hand how to handle a handbike or a tandem.

An immersive experience with which the students of CEIP El Álamo have been able to learn more about the idiosyncrasies of these modalities from the particularities of their bikes.
