Idemticos ambassador Alejandro Montero, fifth in the gravel category of the Trofeo del Pavo de Arroyomolinos
Idemticos ambassador Alejandro Montero (MC3) was one of the participants this Sunday of a new edition of the Trofeo del Pavo de Arroyomolinos, tenth and final round of the Circuito 7 Estrellas of mountain bike that was held in the Madrid town on a route that presented a longer and a shorter proposal and that coincided in both in the character of the landscapes of the Regional Park of the Middle Course of the Guadarrama River.
Montero, who took part on a gravel bike, a category in which he finished fifth overall, said that the race was tough: “The morning went well. The terrain was a bit heavy and in some areas there were a lot of sandbanks. I took part with a friend and at a crossroads we got lost for a while, which forced us to turn back. Just another experience”.
The event took place in an orographically less simple environment than it might appear, given the landscapes shaped by the streams and small watercourses, many of them seasonal, which carve out routes without great technical difficulty but with steep slopes. A route of strength in which a lot of wear and tear accumulates as the kilometres go by.
