New professionals who have been part of the Foundation in their careers join the 2024 peloton
The 2024 cycling season is about to start and for this new campaign two new riders who have been part of one of the renamed Team Polti Kometa structures will be part of the professional peloton. Fran Muñoz, Arnau Gilabert and Andrea Montoli are promoted by the Development Team. After having been part of their ranks in his last campaign as U23, in 2022, David Domínguez promotes from the Zamora Enamora project.
The four of them are the latest exponents of a dynamic that since 2013, the year of the creation of the youth structure, has contributed to more than forty riders who have ended up reaching the professional ranks in one of its categories. Specifically, to date, there are 43 cyclists who have reached the professional ranks and who, along the way, were part of the Foundation’s teams at some point, whether it was its U19, U23 or both structures.
Muñoz, winner of the U23 Elite Spanish Cup in 2022, promotes after two seasons the U23 formation to a Team Polti-Kometa with which he has already lived, under the name EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team, two experiences as ‘stagiaire’. Montoli, with one more year of experience in the structure, will race in the Italian Biesse Carrera, in the continental category.
Gilabert, who would come to the Foundation in the last year of the Campus de Selección, competed one year in the U19 category and three seasons in the U23.
