#U23

Pablo García’s exhibition in the Alcazaba of Badajoz for the 2024 U23 squad releasing

With an attack in the last 50 kilometres of the first stage, one of those solo adventures that seems to go nowhere and yet, with tenacity and insistence, end up bearing enormous fruit, with an attack of this kind, Pablo García from Madrid won the first stage of the Vuelta a Extremadura, with start and finish in Badajoz, and is the first leader of the Extremadura race. “It was not planned to be like this, today was a day to save; then I was sorry, because I was alone. In the end I ended up saying, come on, let’s see if it goes well. A small mistake led to a great victory, but from now on we have to ride with more sense. I was alone, it wasn’t the plan, I asked on the radio, from the car they told me ‘pull a little to see what happens and then we’ll rethink the race…’. In the end, in the final ten, eight, kilometres, I started to see the issue closer”.
