The Fundación Contador and Idemticos collaborate with a massive and successful edition of the Getafe Bicycle and Wheels Festival

With more than forty editions held, the Getafe Bicycle and Wheels Festival is an event linked to the world of two wheels. It is an eagerly awaited event, always well supported by the people of the south of Madrid and even neighbouring municipalities. The 42nd edition, held this Sunday, was no exception and brought to the streets of Getafe almost two thousand people united by a common feeling of enjoyment of cycling in different urban spaces with a solidarity background: the registration fee, 1 euro, was donated to the Lukkis Foundation.

In this edition, and for the first time, the Fundación Contador collaborated with the Getafe City Council, with its Sports Delegation at the forefront. The Idemticos project was represented by Raúl Vallinot and Carlos Javier Mozos, a local resident, who carried the message of this initiative with their participation and that of family and friends. In the large peloton that took on the 10 kilometre route, there were bicycles of all kinds, costumes and a lot of festive spirit. And a very clear message: cycling for everyone.

The Getafe Bicycle and Wheels Festival started from the car park of the Getafe 3 Shopping Centre, in the area around Avenida Juan Carlos I. From there, the participants cycled along the Cementerio road; Toledo street; Plaza de la Constitución; Madrid street; Plaza General Palacio; Madrid street; Plaza de Victoria Kent; Avenida Federica Montseny; and Avenida Don Juan de Borbón, to finish in the car park of the Complejo Deportivo Municipal Juan de la Cierva.
