Twelve bicycles for the Fundación Aucavi and its projects in support of people with ASD
The facilities of the Aucavi Sur School, in the Madrid town of Getafe, have received this first Monday of February 2024 the visit of a large expedition of the Fundación Contador’s Bicis para la Vida by Škoda project in which also participated representatives of the Fundación El Buen Samaritano and the AMP.
The aim of this trip was to deliver bicycles and equipment to this institution that has been working for and in support of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families for more than twenty years.
The Fundación Contador van has transported eight large bicycles, one medium-sized bike, two with wheels and another balance bike that will be used in different educational projects linked to physical activity, healthy leisure and sustainable mobility. This batch of bikes has been set up by volunteers from the AMP and Fundación El Buen Samaritano. In addition, Bicis para la Vida by Škoda has also delivered eight helmets, a foot pump and a box of jerry cans.
Created in 2003, the Fundación Aucavi develops in two centres its own educational project developed by a multidisciplinary care team made up of teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, educational technical assistants and other professionals involved in complementary services and care.
