Another busy weekend for the ambassadors of the Idemticos project of the Contador Foundation. Álex Montero from Madrid did not miss his appointment with the Spanish Paracycling Cup, which travelled to the Region of Murcia to face its third and fourth races during the weekend. Both were held in the town of Ceutí. A historic weekend, as the event had the largest participation in the history of the national circuit of the modality to date.

Saturday saw the Gran Premio Gestiona-VBiciobike time trial. Over 17 kilometres, Montero achieved the third best time in the MC3 category (33’06”), which allowed him to climb the podium. In MC5, Dosdad achieved the fifth best time in his crowded category. On Sunday, the road race. A long-distance race in which Montero finished fourth. With 135 points, Montero is in the fourth position of the overall Cup.

Dosdad, on the other hand, did not take part in the online race, but took part in an event that took place more than 300 kilometres away. After his participation in the time trial, and in support of his partner’s participation in his discipline (with a podium finish for her), a quick return home, just over four hours of sleep and assistance in the Gran Fondo Guad-Al-Xenil de Loja: 139 kilometres with some 2,400 metres of positive altitude gain in which he had to climb the passes of Montefrío, El Gavilán, El Puntal, El Chaparro, El Palancar and El Algarinejo, without forgetting the slopes of the last kilometre which has some ramps of over 25%.
