Pinto pedals against childhood cancer with the help of Mirasur School, the City Council and the Foundation Contador

The first edition of the Family Bike Ride against Childhood Cancer organized by Mirasur School, the City Council of Pinto and the Alberto Contador Foundation was held on Saturday April 20 with the participation of more than half a thousand people, adults and children, on a route of three kilometres that had its start and finish next to the school facilities and had an emotional symbolic ribbon cutting by Sara, who is recovering from this disease and who followed the race in a car of the municipal police.

The march, which had multiple parallel activities and animations, was attended by a large representation of members of the Plaza Éboli Cycling Academy, as well as the ambassador of the Idemticos project, Christian Silva, accompanied by his family. The Foundation also made available to some attendees both a handbike and a tandem to bring the reality of adapted cycling closer to them in a more experiential way.

Volunteers from the AMP Pinto, collaborators of the Bicis para la Vida project, were also among the participants of a ride that counted with the presence and participation of Alberto Contador. All the proceeds from the event will go entirely to the Asociación Bomberos Ayudan for the research of childhood cancer.
