‘Marca’ discusses the current sports and social area of the Foundation in an interview with Fran Contador

Fran Contador, general manager of the sports teams of the Contador Foundation, was the protagonist of a full interview this Thursday in the pages (and in the digital edition) of the newspaper Marca where he addressed the current affairs of the teams, with the EOLO-KOMETA Cycling Team at the forefront, and some of the social projects in which the Foundation is involved.

On a more sporting note, Contador told Riojan journalist Nacho Labarga: “We want to continue to maintain our philosophy and the way we work. We never lose the work of the lower categories and continue to grow in the professional category”. “I would like the team to be World Toru in 2027,” he said at another point. With regard to the social area, Labarga comments “In addition to the competition, the Contador Foundation also looks beyond”.

“That’s it. We don’t always think at a competitive level, but also as a sporting and leisure activity and as a way of life. And around these two objectives we develop different social projects. One of them is ‘Bikes for life’, which consists of collecting those bicycles that people don’t want because they are old or small, we fix them up and take them to places where they need them”, he replies.
